Scarlet Connect at the Independent Hotel Show Miami 2026: Helping Independent Hotels Discover, Nurture, and Retain Guests

Last week our team traveled to Miami Beach for the Independent Hotel Show Miami, and we came home energized. Held September 16–17 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the show is the only North American event dedicated entirely to luxury, boutique, and independent hoteliers. For a company built to help hotel teams drive service, sales, and satisfaction, there’s no better room to be in.

Why independent hotels are a perfect fit

Independent properties win on personality: the thoughtful welcome, the quick answer, the staff member who goes the extra mile. But they’re often doing it with lean teams and a patchwork of disconnected tools.

Scarlet Connect replaces those fragmented systems with one hotel communication and operations platform. It integrates with all major hotel brands and OTAs, scales with your property, and helps teams streamline operations, boost bookings, and deliver better guest experiences without adding to their workload. More than 1,500 hotels around the world already use it, and in Miami we loved showing independent hoteliers what it can do for them.

What we showed at Booth 514

We walked visitors through the full guest journey, organized the way we think about hospitality:

Discover. Revenue starts before the guest arrives. Our Sales Prospecting tools help hotel teams find and win corporate and group business, and eSignature and Credit Card Authorization make closing and securing those bookings fast and paperless. Across our customers, that’s added up to $18.7 million in corporate and group revenue booked.

Nurture. Once guests arrive, Guest Messaging lets your team meet them where they already are, answering questions, handling requests, and catching issues in real time. Digital Tipping gives guests an easy way to thank the housekeepers, valets, and front desk staff who made their stay, which helps with staff recognition and retention too.

Retain. Every stay ends with an opinion. Reputation Management uses guest sentiment data to spot trends and drive more positive reviews, while Review Response helps your team reply quickly and thoughtfully across platforms. Hotels using Scarlet Connect have seen a 70% increase in 4- and 5-star reviews.

What we heard from hoteliers

Our conversations kept circling back to a few themes. [EDIT: adjust these to match what the team actually heard.]

Too many tools, not enough time. Independent operators are juggling separate systems for messaging, reviews, sales, and payments. The idea of bringing it all into one platform resonated strongly.

Reviews are the new front door. For independents without a brand name to lean on, online reputation drives bookings. GMs wanted faster, easier ways to respond to reviews and to turn in-stay feedback into better ratings.

Group and corporate business is up for grabs. Many boutique properties told us they’re leaving group revenue on the table simply because they don’t have a dedicated sales team. Prospecting tools built for hotel teams got a lot of attention.
